Country Windows
ACP
A EUR 50 million regional window, dedicated to sustainably increase production and incomes of smallholder farmers in the African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) regions by investing in private sector entities focusing on farmers’ livelihood improvement. It is enabling small and medium enterprises, financial institutions and impact funds in ACP countries to access long term funding via debt, quasi-equity and equity investments. It follows a value chain approach, priority being given to 10 value chains (non exclusive): cocoa, cotton, cashew, coffee, coconuts, kava, sugar cane, livestock, maize and agri-insurance. AgriFI will help create and consolidate regional and continental agricultural value chains, and therefore, supporting the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area and fostering food security at national and continental levels.
